Choosing drapery colors can be a matter of taste. If you want the color of your curtains to blend with your interior, then choose colors that have the same tones as your walls. However, they should usually be a little darker. Furthermore, when drapes and walls are the same color, a room can look more spacious than it actually is.
Conversely, if you want your drapery to stand out or pop, choose a contrasting or an opposite color. Creating a strong contrast between your wall and curtain colors can renders a dramatic effect.
