As we enjoy the holidays and the spirit of giving, we’d like to share a recent project we participated in that was very special to us. As you may know, we love it when our two favorite passions come together – window treatments and philanthropy.

Earlier this year, Hjardeir Dunn of Hjardeir Dunn Design approached us about donating window treatments to a special design project she was coordinating. Together with other professionals in the design community, we participated in the redesign of the Pflugerville Pregnancy Resource Center in north Austin.

The scope of the project was to redecorate the center’s lovely space and give it a more modern look and feel with a comfortable, functional vibe. We worked together with more than two dozen companies like Heather Scott Home and Design, Legend Lighting, New Era Portfolio and The Home Depot in Pflugerville to bring Hjardeir’s vision to fruition.

We installed beautiful blinds throughout the space, so they can let in as much (or as little!) natural lighting as they need. The end result was an inviting space with neutral walls and furniture accented with fun patterns and bright pops of color.

The Pflugerville Pregnancy Resource Center unveiled its newly refurbished center at an Open House in mid November to a delighted crowd of community leaders and supporters. The feedback was inspiring!

We chose to participate in this project to lend a hand to this local non-profit that has been helping women since 2007. Thanks to support from local churches, businesses and individuals, the center opened a brick and mortar center, so they could make a bigger impact in the community by offering more free services, education and support. The center exists to help women with love in an emotional, physical and spiritual way. Their Board of Directors, volunteers and staff do a tremendous job supporting women facing unplanned pregnancies.
