There are a lot of different types of windows. Not all windows are created equally and neither are their treatments. At ABC Blind & Drapery, our designers are experts when it comes to communicating which window treatments are best for different types of windows.

Single and Double Hung Windows – These windows are versatile, with several window covering options that will look great and function properly. For a minimalist look, opt for roller shades. There are also a variety of blinds that work well with a single or double hung window. To dress it up a bit, add a valance and pleated drapery panels. Take a look at this unique combination that makes the window a focal point of the room.

Casement Windows – These type of windows often don’t have enough mounting room to work with, so we recommend cellular shades, as they can be mounted on the outside and have a high raise. As another option, decorative drapery panels frame the window beautifully and can be installed wider than and above the window.

Bay Windows – Deciding the perfect window treatments for bay windows can be difficult. At ABC Blind & Drapery, we create custom window treatments that will bring new life to the space. We would install a custom sized rod and hang the drapery panels of your choice. Another option would be matching cellular shades or mini blinds.

Skylight – These windows are perfect for our motorized cellular shades. That way, you are able to control the light allowed in at any time of day.

Transoms – We like the clean lines of wood shutters against curved transoms. If you are looking for something a bit different, we love the combination of Tableaux Decorative Grilles and high hung drapery panels. The look can be modern with sheer drapes or elegant with heavier patterned drapes.

Patio Doors – The best window treatments first depends on whether you have sliding glass or French doors. For French doors, we love a decorative cornice with drapery panels. Upon installation, we would demonstrate how to operate and ensure that you are able to open and close the doors with ease. For sliding doors, solar screens on a track are a great solution that not only looks great but also blocks harmful UV rays.
