KGSR’s Unplugged at The Grove
Dates: Every Thursday from April-September
If you are a music lover, this event is for you! KGSR hosts “Unplugged at the Grove” every Thursday night throughout spring and into the summer. Head on over to The Shady Grove off of Barton Springs Road to enjoy live music from an array of bands every week – all for no charge!
UMLAUF Garden Party
Date: April 26th
At the UMLAUF Garden Party, you’re invited to stroll through the garden while enjoying fine wines and delicious food from some of Austin’s best restaurants. There will be a live and silent auction as well as the Nash Hernandez Orchestra performing in the gardens. The best part? All proceeds benefit the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum’s exhibitions and education programs!
Austin Food & Wine Festival
Dates: April 27th-29th
The Austin Food & Wine Festival is the perfect Austin spring event! From tastings to cooking demos, you’ll leave with the full culinary experience. This festival includes some of the top chefs, sommeliers and winemakers from all over the nation, so you’re in for a real treat. You’re guaranteed to leave full and happy from this one-of-a-kind event!
Pecan Street Festival
Dates: May 4th-6th
Held on the first weekend of May this year, the Pecan Street Festival is a free arts festival located in downtown Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District. This two-day festival brings in hundreds of local and national artists, offering endless choices of original handcrafted art. You’ll want to be sure to bring your wallet and an artistic vision, to ensure you don’t leave the festival without a unique piece of art for your home!
Movies in the Park
Dates: Select Dates from March-November
Brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation, Movies in the Park is a series of free films held in parks all over Austin. Pack your car with blankets, chairs and snacks and head on over to the designated park to enjoy a relaxing evening with friends or family cozied up watching a movie!
Lone Star Jam
Dates: May 26th & 27th
The Lone Star Jam is the largest Texas Country Music Festival in Central Texas. This two-day event will feature twenty of the best Texas country bands, such as the Randy Rogers Band, Kevin Fowler, Gary Allan, William Clark Green and many more. This year will be the 11th consecutive year of the Lone Star Jam, so you don’t want to miss this awesome Texas tradition!
